Are you struggling to get your eyebrows on fleek? Have you ever wondered what fleek is? (Side note: it’s a variation of ‘flick’ – when eyebrows are perfectly groomed, filled and shaped).
Back away from those tweezers and book yourself in with one of our eyebrow extension specialists. Now, you can have brows that full and bold without having to powder or pencil them in. Too good to be true? Read on and find out:
Super-fine synthetic hairs are attached very carefully to your existing brow hairs or onto bare skin using skin-safe, waterproof glue. And they look very natural; the hairs come in a variety of different shades, lengths and coarseness to match your natural brow hair.
Are you a victim of over-tweezing? The eyebrow extensions can help you fill bare spots in your eyebrows. They can also help to change your brow shape whether you are going for defined and polished, or full Delevigne. Walk out of that salon with brows that wow.
Your eyebrow extension specialist will help you to clean and exfoliate your brows – it’s always good to start on a smooth surface. Then, they will help you decide on a brow shape that is perfect for your face.
If your eyes are the windows to your soul, then your brows are the curtains. It’s important to get them right. They will use a brow pencil to outline what your new brows were look like to help you envision your new brow-wow life.
Then, they will carefully apply brow hair to your existing eyebrows to help you achieve the shape you desire. The whole process takes anywhere between half an hour to 45 minutes long.
It depends on how well you take care of them. They can last up to three weeks, but ideally you’ll want to come in for a touch up every two weeks to keep your brows on fleek.
However, the great thing about extensions is that when they do shed, it’s not noticeable. You can just fill in the bare spots with powder and take you back to Brooke Shield’s worthy brows.
Like all good things, they will come to an end; your brows will gradually return to their original shape so no one but you will notice that they are gone.
To help extend your extensions, here are a few simple tips:
Do not wet your brows – including sauna, steams rooms and heavy rainfall – within the first 24 hours. This will help the glue to fully set.
This can weaken the adhesive. Avoid touching your brows when you shower.
Be carefully when drying your face with a towel. When drying your brows, apply gentle pressure and do not rub with a towel. The best way is to let the hairs dry naturally.
It’s nice to check on your eyebrows but do not rubbing or playing with your brows can loosen the glue. Keep your hands to yourself.
If you do wear product, remove it very gently. Avoid moisturiser because this can weaken the adhesive.
If you prefer sleeping on one side, you will notice that one of your brows may not last as well as the other. Otherwise, invest in a silk pillowcase. The smooth texture can help reduce the friction between your extensions and the pillow.
